Pope John Paul II Beatification on April 30



Thousands of people especially Christians are invited to witness the Beatification of Pope John Paul II on Sunday, April 30, 2011. The beatification will take place in Saint Peters square in ROme and they are going to live broadcast the big celebration.

Why Pope John Paul II? 'The beatification of the Venerable Servant of God John Paul II fills us all with emotion', says a letter signed by all Christian representatives in the Holy Land as well as the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Fouad Twal, and Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Custos of the Holy Land.

Some of the commemorative events of the beatification is a vigil ceremony which is scheduled to take place Saturday evening in the Armenian Catholic Church in Jerusalem, in the Milk Grotto in Bethlehem and the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth.

Also a five-hour vigil is set to celebrate in the Regina Pacis Center in Amman, Jordan.

The ceremony of the Beatification this Sunday morning follows a live telecast in the Notre Dame Center in Jerusalem and in John Paul II Foundation in Bethelehem. Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad is schedule to follow the ceremony in Bethlehem's center.

In addition, the Latin Patriarch in Jerusalem Fouad Twal also celebrate a thanksgiving mass in the co-cathedral Church of the Holy Name of Jesus in Jerusalem Sunday afternoon.
